Hospices are facilities for people with serious and advanced illnesses. The focus here is on individual needs and wishes during the final stages of life. The support provided in this way enables dying people to live a dignified and self-determined life until their death. Hospice services also operate on a mobile basis—directly in families and households on site or in inpatient care facilities.
