Drug Assistance Center Bielefeld

On the premises of the Drug Assistance Center, illegal drugs brought in for personal use—such as opiates (heroin), cocaine, and amphetamines (and their derivatives)—may be consumed in the drug consumption room in a calm atmosphere and under hygienically sound conditions, subject to certain requirements. Staff members answer questions about safer use and offer immediate assistance in the event of a crisis or drug-related emergency.

Sterile injection equipment is provided for intravenous use. Smoking or inhaling drugs is permitted in a separate room equipped with appropriate ventilation.
